Today on January 11, 2024, we gather to honor and celebrate a remarkable person, Karen Haines, and her 35th work anniversary at Ray Laks Honda.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Karen's journey led her to Buffalo in 1981, driven by her passion for bodybuilding. For years, she not only competed but also shared her expertise as a personal trainer at Bally's fitness center.
In 1989, Karen transitioned from the fitness industry to embark on a new career at Ray Laks Honda in West Seneca.
Starting in sales, she steadily climbed the professional ladder, showcasing her skills in rental management and eventually becoming the Honda Motorsports Manager. It was here that she crossed paths with Brandon, who would later become her partner for life while serving as the detail manager at Ray Laks Acura.
Karen's impressive journey reached another milestone in 2014 when she took the reins as the Manager of the Business Development Center (BDC) Department. Her leadership and dedication have been instrumental in the success of the dealership. Even when Ray Laks Honda joined the Lithia team in 2018, Karen seamlessly transitioned, securing a management position that continues to influence the dealership positively today.
Beyond her professional achievements, Karen is a beacon of compassion and community involvement. She devotes a significant portion of her free time to Sadies Rescue, passionately working to find loving homes for dogs from all corners of the country. Karen extends her compassion to the workplace, organizing several rescue events at the dealership each year.
At home, Karen finds joy in the company of her husband, Brandon, and their two dogs, Dani and Darby. Her commitment to a holistic lifestyle shine through as she explores homeopathic medicine and advocates for healthy living.
