For 2025, this award-winning sedan not only receives a styling update but it also gain a hybrid variant. The Civic Hybrid offers a robust performance and is offered as a sedan or hatchback, so you're sure to love this model just like many others already do.

What's New?

The revised Civic Hybrid returns this year. With it comes an updated design and a host of new tech. Although the Civic Hybrid is only offered in the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring trims.

Trims

With the Civic again having a hybrid engine option, the EX and Touring levels are removed. In their place are the new Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

Sport Hybrid: Offering the same tech as the discontinued EX. These include heated mirrors, a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated front seats.

Sport Touring Hybrid: This high-end trim offers an upgraded nine-inch touchscreen and 12-speaker Bose audio system. There's also new Google built-in software to provide drivers with Google Maps, a Google-powered voice assistant, and the ability to add apps such as Spotify.

Design

Whether driving the Civic Hybrid as a sedan or hatchback, you'll appreciate its sleeker and more streamlined design. You'll especially appreciate the honeycomb-pattern mesh design of the dash that cleverly hides the air vents. On top of that, the spacious cabin also offers good leg and headroom, with 42.3 inches in the front and 37.4 inches in the back. Plus, there's space to store various items, like a large, deep bin for holding your smartphone and 14.8 cubic feet of cargo room for holding groceries or luggage.

Performance

Powering the Civic Hybrid is a single powertrain - a 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with two electric motors for an output of 200 hp and 232 lbs.-torque. Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission are standard across the board. As for its fuel economy, the EPA estimates that the engine should get around 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

Technology

Installed in every new Civic is a seven-inch touchscreen, though Buffalo and West Seneca shoppers will find a nine-inch unit available on the Sport Touring. Both screens offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and controls for the model's stereo. The Sport Hybrid has a four-speaker stereo, but the Sport Touring has a 12-speaker Bose audio system. The Sport Touring also comes with a digital gauge display, a wireless smartphone charger, and a suite of Google apps like Spotify, Google Maps, and Google Voice Assist.

Safety

Regardless of the trim you choose, every Honda Civic Hybrid will come with the same suite of advanced driver aids. These include forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. In the Sport Touring features such as front and rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and low-speed automatic braking become available.
